TAQA participated in the Saudi Meeting on Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Technologies OGEP 2008
TAQA participated in the Saudi Forum on Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Technologies (OGEP 2008) under the auspices of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources His Excellency Ali Naimi which took place from January 6th to 8th 2008 at the Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel.
The OGEP 2008 theme was "Towards Local Research & Development" reflecting the importance of the upstream research & technologies in helping the Kingdom and the oil industry to respond to the unprecedented global demand for energy.
TAQA’s President Eng. Abdulrhman Bin Zarah participated in the Panel Discussion about Oil & Gas Technologies, together with:

During his presentation, TAQA’s President referred to Local Content in terms of the value added to the Saudi economy through localization of the following:
-Human Resources
-Equipment and Material Manufacturing.
-Services.
-Technology, Including Intellectual Property.
The Forum and meeting was an opportunity for national oil companies, international oil companies, service companies and other organizations to receive comprehensive information on investments in local research and development (R&D).
